Attention all Artists! The City of Everett would like to show you around Everett for the day as part of a Studio Tour and Luncheon on October 24th. This also happens to be the same day as Gal-apalooza, our wearable art fair for the ladies, so I know you’d probably be in town anyway. (Janet Wold has already submitted her “cake” for the event. City of Everett Studio Tour & Luncheon
The City of Everett is hosting a tour of downtown on Saturday, Oct. 24th from 10:30am – 3pm starting at 1507 Wall St. in downtown Everett.  Everett  buildings and warehouses that have available space to lease for artist studios. All spaces lease for affordable rates of .35 – .50 cents per square foot. A wide variety of spaces are included on the tour – from industrial spaces with 14′ ceilings and roll-up doors, to storefront spaces in the downtown core, and even beautiful studio spaces in historic buildings with great light, waterfront views and shared gallery space. Studio Gallery Tour & Luncheon Itinerary
10:30am, The Schack Art Center Overview
We will begin the day with a presentation on Everett’s new Visual Arts Education Center due to be completed in 2010. The art center will include 19,000 square feet of specialized production spaces including a fully equipped hot shop, a cold shop, a kiln forming studio and multifuctional rooms that will accommodate classes, workshops and exhibits. Artspace will have 40 live/ work lofts for artists.

11am – 3pm, Studio Tour
Bus tour of artist studio spaces including luncheon. Bus departs from 1507 Wall Street . For a sneak preview of available studio spaces go to enjoyeverett.org.
