Congratulations to John Osgood, whose work has been selected for the 2009 Fresh Paint Poster. His festival image will be unveiled in May 2009, but for now you can check out his work at Bherd Studios in Greenwood. Or if you are interested in seeing him in action check out this video of the 23rd & Dearborn street mural being created.
Each year the Fresh Paint Festival commissions an artist to create an original piece of artwork that represents the festival. Next year’s call to artists will be available in Fall 2009. If you are interested in participating in the festival, applications are due May 1st.

We were all so happy last week in our sunglasses and sundresses. This week, we’re draggin’ no matter how much caffeine we drink or sweet things we eat , it’s just not cheering us up.
As we head into August, we are getting ready for Fresh Paint. Make sure you stop by the Arts Council booth and say hi to the Redheaded Stepchild
