We’ve been busy this week getting ready for the 11th annual Gal-aPalooza (formerly Girls Night Out) happening tomorrow (Oct 25th).  Local designers will be at the Arts Council selling apparel,  jewelry and accessories, as well as vintage clothing.   This lively day is designed by women, for women.  Belly Dancers, cake walks, hula hoops, hoop earrings.  Shibori scarves, shimmy lessons, 40’s shoes, shaved ice.  Hair redo’s, massages, henna, facials, faux fur.  From kitsch to class; whatever your hankering, be it fashion or distraction from the everyday, you’ll find it here.

Grab a girlfriend or two and join us in this festive, fun, funky, flirty, FABULOUS day.

The Arts Council of Snohomish County is located in the Historic Monte Cristo Hotel in downtown Everett.

Redheaded Stepchild gets contemplative thinking about Gal-apalooza

Redheaded Stepchild usually spends his Saturdays hanging out  with his friends ; sharing a six pack , talking football and girls. The last place you would expect to find him  on his day off would be in the midst of designer clothes and jewelry, learning to belly dance.   He’ll be setting his Machismo aside on Saturday, October 25th to be at Gal-aPalooza, rubbing elbows with glamour hoping some will rub off.    Maybe it’s that he caught wind of the fact that hundreds of women that will be in attendance that day, in the spirit of fun, clamoring for attention.
Not one to miss opportunity when it knocks, he likes to be where the action is.  Come introduce yourself to him that day, just don’t be surprised if he asks you out.  By the way, he’s a sucker for the vintage look!
